Alumni Requests


The San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) is responsible for archiving of permanent educational records of students. SDUSD is now offering a convenient and secure website for students, alumni and third parties to request transcripts and other education verification records online.
 
Per SDUSD Board Policy and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) student records are only available to those who have authorization from the eligible student or guardian if the student is under 18 years of age. If the student is 18 years of age or older, school records will not be released to a guardian without the student’s written consent.
 
Please note the information below:
- Requests for information must be completed online.
- Phone, Email and fax requests will no longer be accepted for 3rd parties and post-secondary institutions. 
- Charter School record requests are NOT processed with this application.
- Student with a graduation Year of 2015 to present must request records directly from the high school they last attended. Please see instructions below.
-There are no fees for military recruiters.  Please email a copy of your military ID to [email protected].  You will be emailed a coupon code to be used during the ordering process.

Please allow up to 10 business days to process standard orders.  Legal requests will take longer.
You will receive emails from [email protected] to notify you of the status of your order.  It is important you read those emails carefully as additional information may be required to process your request.  

For Students with a graduation year of 2015 to current please submit the following to [email protected]

-an email requesting your transcript to Registrar that includes the following:
-The legal name you used while enrolled at Madison High School
-Birthdate
-Year of Graduation/Class of
-Please state if you would like an *official or unofficial copy of your transcript and where you would like it sent to (email address or physical address)
-Letter must have your legal signature
-Please include a copy of your ID or Driver's license (make sure that picture and signature are clear)
-Please include a phone number where I can contact you
*School cannot give copy of Diploma-Alumni only get one Diploma which is the one they received on Graduation day; the school does not give copies of it.
NOTE: We are under a privacy act and must request this of you before a copy of your transcript can be sent. After we receive your letter, please keep in mind that we need 5-7 working business days to get the transcript out to you.
Companies/schools wanting education verification for a student with a graduation year of 2015 to present must send an email to [email protected] or Fax (858) 496-8421 with the following :
-The legal name person used while enrolled at Madison High School
-Birthdate
-Year of Graduation/Class of
-Must send an Authorization form or release of student records from their client/customer
*School cannot give copy of Diploma-Alumni only get one Diploma which is the one they received on Graduation day and school does not keep or give copies of it.
