For Madison Clubs and Organizations:
Volunteer Request Form 2014-2015
The vision of the James Madison High School PTSA Parent Involvement Committee is to increase parent involvement at Madison to engage families in their child's education, fortify strong home-school partnerships, provide opportunities for parents to share ideas, offer input and encourage positive development of their child's education to advance student learning, leading to increased student success.
One way that we believe we can increase parent involvement is to provide ways in which parents can volunteer. To support this, Madison's PIC serves as the "Information Hub" for MHS volunteer opportunities. When someone comes to the school and says, "How can I help?", we can provide them with the opportunities available and direct them to the Point of Contact (POC) associated with the opportunity in which they are interested. We also "advertise" opportunities through the MHS website and Warhawk Whisper weekly newsletter.
Volunteer opportunities may include selling tickets for an event, driving students to an athletic meet/game, donating items for a bake sale fundraiser, working concessions, building and/or painting theater sets, uniform or costume sewing repairs and/or alterations, etc.
Please note that we will not find nor be responsible for the volunteers, but rather, will direct those interested to the opportunity POC. It is the responsibility of the associated club, team, organization, small learning community, group, etc. to communicate with the volunteer and decide whether or not to accept their volunteer assistance.
Please fill out the form below for your club or organization. If you have questions, please contact Mr. Greg Williams in room B6 or email [email protected]. Please fill out as many forms as you need for your volunteer opportunities throughout the school year.
