🏌️‍♂️ Madison High School Golf Program

Tradition of Excellence on the Green

Madison High School's golf program has a rich history of championship success and athletic distinction. As a proud part of our athletic legacy, Madison golf has earned its place among the top programs in San Diego.

Our Mustangs secured CIF San Diego Section Team Championships in 1972, 1973, and 1989, guided by standout coaches John Hannon and Fred Brown. In these historic wins, Madison triumphed over strong competitors like Coronado, Clairemont, and Poway with impressive team performances.

In individual play, Madison has produced three CIF Individual Champions, whose skills and dedication earned them a lasting place in local golf history:

  • Dave Simpson (1972)

  • Scott Simpson (1973)

  • Chris Riley (1990)

These athletes showcased the precision, focus, and competitive spirit that define Mustang golf.
